Privacy Policy

How we handle your information when you browse, collect, transact, or contact us.

1. Who we are and what this covers

Hypetheory LLC, a Texas limited liability company, operates Chase House (“we,” “us,” and “our”). This policy covers our website, waitlist, accounts, digital pack-opening experience, card collection and custody services, buybacks, payments, and physical fulfillment, where those features are available. The information involved depends on the features you use.

2. Information we collect

  • Contact and account information: your name, email address, login identifiers, session information, account preferences, terms acceptance records, and information you provide to support.
  • Eligibility and verification information: age or location information, verification results, restrictions, and references needed to assess access to a feature. Payment or identity providers may request identity documents, a selfie, or destination-account information through their own flows.
  • Transaction and collection records: funding activity, purchases, pack results, card ownership and transfers, accepted offers, balances, holds, refunds, disputes, payout references, and automatic-sale deadlines and records.
  • Fulfillment information: recipient name, delivery address, contact information needed for delivery, shipping choices, tracking, and records relating to delivery issues.
  • Waitlist and marketing preferences: your email address, signup time and source, consent records, and subscription or removal choices.
  • Technical information: IP address, browser and device information, requested pages, timestamps, and security or diagnostic events processed by the service and its infrastructure providers.

We receive information from you, from your use of the service, and from providers that process authentication, payments, verification, risk checks, or delivery. The sign-in methods and providers used for a particular feature are identified in that flow. External sign-in providers authenticate you under their own policies; we do not receive their password. Session information may be stored in necessary cookies or browser storage. Signing out ends the relevant session, not the server-side account or its records. We do not ask you to send passwords, full payment-card details, or identity documents by email.

3. How we use information

We use information to provide accounts and purchases; record card ownership and balances; maintain your collection; fulfill delivery requests; process eligible offers, refunds, and payouts; verify eligibility; prevent fraud and abuse; reconcile transactions; provide support; and comply with applicable obligations.

We also use it to operate, troubleshoot, secure, and improve the service and to communicate about your account or transactions. Launch or promotional messages follow your subscription choices. Opting out of marketing does not stop necessary service messages.

4. Providers and other disclosures

We disclose information needed by providers that support the service, including authentication, hosting, database and media storage, payment processing, identity or fraud checks, email, and shipping. Providers receive information appropriate to the task and applicable requirements. Where enabled, Coinflow processes payments and related verification under its own privacy notice. Payment credentials are submitted through the payment provider’s fields; Chase House keeps the references, amounts, statuses, and transaction records needed to operate your account. A verification provider may collect identity evidence directly and provide us with a result or reference. We do not claim that a provider’s separate legal obligations or privacy practices are controlled by this policy.

The waitlist connection uses Google Sheets and Google Apps Script when enabled. The website also requests font files from Google Fonts, exposing technical request information such as your IP address to Google.

We may disclose information to comply with legal process, protect people and rights, investigate abuse, resolve disputes, or support a business transfer. Any transfer remains subject to applicable law and privacy commitments. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

5. Cookies and similar technologies

Account and payment features may use cookies or similar technologies needed for sign-in, security, preferences, or completing a transaction. The current marketing site does not include advertising pixels or visitor analytics tools. Providers may use technical mechanisms to operate or secure their services.

You can manage cookies through your browser. Blocking necessary technologies may prevent a feature from working. We will update this notice and provide any required choices before introducing materially different tracking.

6. Retention and security

We retain information for the purposes described here, considering account activity, delivery or custody obligations, dispute and fraud risks, legal requirements, and your requests. Transaction and ownership records may need to remain after an account closes. We retain limited suppression information where needed to respect an opt-out.

We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the information and restrict access according to business needs. No system or transmission is completely secure.

7. Your choices and privacy requests

Email ely@hypetheory.net to request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of your information. Where applicable law provides additional rights, such as restricting processing, opting out, using an authorized agent, or appealing a decision, you may use the same address to exercise them. Identify your request and the account email involved; we may reasonably verify your identity or authority.

To close an account or leave the waitlist, email us from the associated address. After verifying your request, we aim to complete deletion from active systems within 30 days. If a lawful exception or extension applies, we will explain it and any further steps. Financial, ownership, fraud-prevention, and other records may be retained where necessary for outstanding obligations or legal requirements. Residual copies may remain in backups until they are cycled out under the relevant provider’s retention process. Retained information remains subject to this policy.

We will respond as required by applicable law and explain any limits, such as information needed for an outstanding transaction or legal obligation. You may also contact the relevant privacy authority where that right applies. We will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.

To stop marketing, use the unsubscribe option in a message or email us. A waitlist signup is optional, free, and does not create a paid account.

8. Children and eligibility

The service is intended for adults aged 18 or the local age of majority, whichever is higher, who meet the location requirements in our Terms of Service. It is not directed to children. If you believe a child’s information has been submitted, contact us so we can review and remove it as appropriate.

Payment or eligibility checks can affect access to a feature. If you believe a restriction is incorrect, contact support for review.

9. International processing and other services

Providers may process information in the United States and other countries. We will apply any transfer safeguards required by law. The ability to browse this site does not establish eligibility to purchase or receive shipments in your location.

Third-party websites and services have their own privacy practices. Review the notice shown in a provider’s flow before submitting information to it.

10. Changes and contact

We will update the date on this page when this policy changes and provide additional notice or request consent where required. A policy update does not, by itself, authorize materially different uses of information already collected.
